OKTabletop's Regular Events

Join one, join all!

This page lists the various regular events that OKTabletop hosts.

Check in on the OKTabletop Discord to ask questions, RSVP, or find players for your favourite game. The Discord server also has a more in-depth list with some events throughout the Okanagan that we are aware of, but not hosted by OKTabletop.

Please note that most events currently take place at Twice the Dice Board Game Cafe, 575 Bernard Avenue. The Cafe has a Stay & Play charge of $7 ($5 if you arrive before 5pm) which covers you for as long as you want to stay, plus monthly and annual passes. A variety of food, snacks, drink, and drink are also available.

Regular Events

Chits & Giggles - Casual Drop-In Games Night

  • Weekly - Every Tuesday starting at 6pm
  • At Twice the Dice Board Game Cafe

Chits & Giggles is a popular event with plenty of people to meet and plenty of different games being played simultaneously. There can be a little of everything going on, from simple to complex and social to strategy. Feel free to bring your favourite game(s) and try to convince people to play!

Board with Friends - Medium/Heavy Games Night

  • Bi-Weekly - Every Second Wednesday on even-numbered weeks starting at 6pm
  • At Twice the Dice Board Game Cafe

Bored? Board with friends instead! Wednesdays are a smaller group of typically 1-2 tables, focused on medium to medium-heavy games (complexity of around 2.5-4.0 as rated by the BoardGameGeek community). RSVPing on Discord is recommended, as games are often planned in advance; there may not always be a seat available for drop-ins.

Periodic Table-top

  • Bi-Weekly - Every Second Sunday on even-numbered weeks (the Sundays after the Wednesdays above), typically starting at 11am
  • At Twice the Dice Board Game Cafe

Focused on complex and/or longer games that need quiet space and more time, Sundays are for the noble heavy games. If that's what you love, you'll be right in your element. RSVPing on Discord is strongly recommended for several reasons. Games are typically planned in advance by those attending, and both the time and location are unstable and subject to change. Sorry, I've run out of periodic table puns; all the good ones Argon.
